Southern California Cease Fire Committee

The Southern California Cease Fire Committee was one of the very first community groups to support the United in Peace movement. Cease Fire has a mission to eliminate ALL violence – gang, domestic, racial, workplace, school bullying and any random act of violence. Cease Fire accomplishes this by providing resources and support for mediation of “Cease Fire Agreements”, improving quality of life by investing in the development of at-risk/proven-risk community members and neighborhoods as well as by incubating and assisting community organizations to promote civic engagement. Cease Fire was originally formed to continue the “Peace Protocol” provided by Stanley Tookie Williams.

“Real peace will conquer war.”
—Stanley Tookie Williams
